It has been said, that talking about Politics in a Public House is one of the 3 things not to be discussed.

But with this current Government making life even more incredibly difficult to operate under the constant burden of Tax increases, smaller & independent pubs are finding it hard to survive and more & more are closing down daily across the UK. This results in loss of, jobs, the village/town local, meeting points for family & friends, local food & drink suppliers closing and an increase on the State welfare bill to support people unemployed.

To say this Government are short sighted is a polite way to say they have no clue how to govern.

So how can you help??

Publicans, cafe owners, food suppliers, restaurants etc are not asking you to spend uncontrollably on a daily or weekly basis but simply popping in once or twice a week for a drink or meal would be an unbelievable help. Most of us offer meal deals, drinks promotions, coffees, 0% range of beverages, set lunches etc. Designed to help your pocket/wallet and keep the business going.

So if you are out walking the dog, on the way home from work, meeting friends/family or simply want a break from the sofa, PLEASE consider using & returning to your local.
